Gävle is a town on the East coast of Sweden. We went there after church on Sunday and I could enjoy the Baltic Sea from the Swedish side this time! We first went to the beach, where the water was freezing, but my German friends still managed to swim. It’s important to mention that there are no bathrooms on the beach (they are there only in summer), so be prepared 😉 After the beach we explored the town of Gavle. It stands on the river, open for fishing, and there are plenty of fishermen around. It was also surprising to see really weird statues there. You can see some examples in the pictures below.
