The Swedish Institute arranged a ceremony for its graduates on May 16th this year. The event took place in Stockholm City Hall, which is one of the most famous buildings and tourist attaractions in Stockholm. Different ceremonies and special events take place in the City Hall, including the Nobel Prize banquet, which is held there every year. During the graduation ceremony a few speakers shared their insights with the graduates. It was a pleasure to hear a few students giving their speeches as well. They talked about issues related to their area of studies, such as leadership and small-scale entrepreneurship. After receiving the diplomas, the graduates were invited to a dinner.
The graduation ceremony was another chance for me too see both the friends that I met at the previous events and the ones who I had known for a long time, because we studied together before. We will be able to keep our connections through the SI Network for Future Global leaders, which all the SI scholarship holders become part of.
At the end of the event we spent time enjoying the beautiful night view on lake Mälaren, where the City Hall is located. I only had my phone with me, so the pictures turned out a little blurry. Hope you can still get an idea of what the place looked like.
