It is amazing that students at Dalarna are very active and organize all sorts of events. Yesterday there was a boat festival, where students had to compete by swimming in small air-inflated boats. That was so cold, but they were swimming! I was shocked to observe that. Then we gathered a small group of four to drive around Dalarna. We visited Rattvik, Nusnass, Mora, and took a lot of beautiful pictures of the fantastic Swedish landscapes! During the day I’ve learnt a little more about the Swedish people. First, they are very strong and healthy, in my country people wouldn’t swim in a lake in such cold weather. Second, they really love the nature and animals. When it started raining during our trip around Dalarna, we were trying to hide under a tent of a café. The lady working there told us not to stay on her way and to move aside, which we thought was a little too straightforward and unwelcoming. Then we saw a duck wandering around under the rain, and when we left the tent that lady started feeding it and showed great love and compassion towards it. This situation has created mixed feelings in me. I first felt a little offended, but then I really liked the way she was treating the bird. So, I left with a conclusion that Swedish people may be a little too straightforward, but they are still kind to the creation around. Here’s the poor duck from the story, as well as the rainy, but beautiful scenery of Dalarna.
